I could not stop laughing !

Hi guys and girls,

I was on my way back from Coimbatore last week, had gone there to attend a marriage ceremony, one of my geeky and nerdy nerdy cousins was getting married ( and the girl looked man !! , jus' dont know how these guys get such good ones! ). On the train, I had no company. I just had my GRE preparation material for company, and ya, ofcourse my hard-to-do-without snacks and stuff ! I was beginning to feel really bugged and thought I would retire to dozing off, when this young man walked into my bay and asked me "if you could,.. well..this is 68 right ?!" (looking into his ticket and tryin to peep beind my head to get a view of his seat no.) I found good company in him for the rest of the journey. There are so many jokes and anecdotes with which he entertained me. And here is one I jus' cannot stop laughing when I think about it even now. Kudos to that man. I'm sure he'll read this blog.

Several men are in the locker room of a golf club. A cell phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands-free speaker function and begins to talk. Everyone else in the room stops to listen. Man: "Hello?"Woman: "Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?" Man: "Yes."Woman: "I am at the mall now and found this beautiful leather coat. It's only Rs.1,000. Is it okay if I buy it, sweetie?" Man: "Sure... go ahead if you like it that much. I want you to be happy." Woman: "I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw the new 2003 models. I saw one that I really liked. It's a beautiful silver." Man: "How much?" Woman: "Rs.60,000"Man: "Okay, but for that price I want it with all the options." Woman: "Great! Oh, and just one more thing... the house we wanted last year is back on the market. They're asking Rs.950,000." Man: "Wow, then go ahead and make them an offer, but just offer Rs.895,000." Woman: "Okay. Thank you darling -- you're wonderful! I'll see you later! I love you!" Man: "Bye, I love you too." The man hangs up. The other men in the locker room are looking at him in astonishment. Then he asks: "Anyone know who this phone belongs to?"

Well, hope you enjoyed that joke. :)

Dressing - for the short man -

hi 'guys',

its about attire again.. I know what you're thinkin'. "now, why is this guy so very obsessed with dressing always !!" . Well, guys, when I talk about dressing, I'm not jus' talking about 'threads', I'm talking about 'confidence', I'm talking about 'non-verbal positive communication' , 'power of stature' and most importantly 'male magnetism' !

Dressing (Read 'power dressing') is the quintessential part of non-verbal communication. It is the first thing that someone notices in us when they encounter us for the first time. And it easily makes up for more than 50% of what people call the "FIRST IMPRESSION". I have read so many books (You know, stuff like 'how to impress your girl', '101 different ways to accost her', 'what you should'nt do on your first date', etc.. !!!) and one thing which I found common in all of them is the highly pronounced stress on 'Dressing sense' and 'setting the exuberance level for the occasion with your attire ! When you accost someone, you think it is your words that they're listening to ??!! Crap.. !! It is what your attire speaks, and then the rest follow. So, I will keep emphasizing on the need to 'dress for the occasion'.

well. today, I'm addressing the short men. Knowing how to dress for your body type is the key to honing your personal style. Good style involves accentuating your strengths and minimizing the appearance of your weaknesses. For the short man, this means strategically manipulating how others perceive his stature. Here are some tips for the vertically challenged man to keep in mind when shopping for clothing:

Wear one color: A shirt and pants in the same color will prevent obvious breaks in your natural frame, and as a result can produce the illusion of height.

Avoid wearing blazers or cardigans with more than three buttons; these are designed for taller men and will make you look shorter.

V-neck T-shirts and sweaters will make your torso look longer.

Opt for square-toed shoes: on a short man, long pointy shoes or really bug bulky ones will make you look less like a professional and more like a joker.

Stick with a square toe.

Avoid big prints: On smaller bodies, giant prints will overwhelm.

Keep your prints proportionate to your body by choosing smaller prints, such as micro-checks.

Choose a slimmer necktie: Large ties should be avoided, because they will make your body seem disproportionate by comparison.

I guess that will get you started for the week.

Keep looking for updates.

sincerely,
praveen
